Meet John

John was first introduced to Qigong in 1997 and has been teaching since 2003. Although initially deeply immersed in the academic aspects of the spiritual practice, over time it became clear that the thirst for knowledge didn’t really lead to spiritual development, only the ability to discuss spiritual development. The most profound spiritual development lay within the simpler, more mindful aspects that freed the mind from the grip that modern life had over it.

John’s story is one of happy coincidences and gradual change. Initial fascination with the mystical evolved into study of the world’s religions and training in multiple healing practices. In 1997 John met Marcus Hayward and he introduced him to Qigong . Qigong provided a tool that helped him go more deeply into energetic and spiritual practice than he ever thought possible.

Training in multiple forms of Qigong in the UK, Europe and China lead him more deeply into the practice and in 2010 he let his career in IT go in order to concentrate on Qigong full time.

Now John splits his time between running local classes and workshops in Suffolk, training Qigong teachers through Three Monkeys School of Qigong and working with businesses through The Green Chair in order to create the space for the business and it’s stakeholders to evolve and develop.
