Real mindfulness is an experience, it's a state of mind - a state of being. Right from the outset, this class will give you a direct experience of mindfulness for yourself, you'll experience for yourself what it is to be completely alert and alive but with a quiet mind because, nothing else is important and ultimately there is no other way to teach you.

Having had this experience there really is no going back and throughout the course, we will build on this, we'll explore the infinite possibilities this offers you and I'll show you how to maintain and deepen your mindfulness and make it an integral part of your day to day life. Can you imagine the possibilities? Being able to switch off your problems, your worries, your stress and to get relief from the constant mental chatter.

Mindfulness has become a bit of a buzzword lately, and it's great that people are waking up to the amazing benefits of mindfulness practice. But inevitably as it has become more popular it has become commercialised and trivialised and sadly a lot of mindfulness classes only scratch the surface. Mindfulness classes are often taught by people who have very little real understanding themselves, they may have read books, passed exams but few have ever really experienced a deep state of mindfulness and their own practice is very much in its infancy

Unfortunately, many mindfulness courses seem to be nothing more than intellectual study. And you can't learn mindfulness that way. Lots of thinking about mindfulness isn't going to clear your mind, it's just more thinking and there's far too much of that going on already! Mindfulness is learning to quieten your mind and stand back from your thinking and creating some quiet space in your mind - it's most definitely not more thinking.
