Why us
It tends to change people’s lives. That’s what they keep telling us.
Most UK wellness breaks sell you a spa menu, a yoga timetable, or a pretty view. This one is a holiday from your head, and you leave with skills and techniques for lasting wellbeing, whatever life throws at you, including a wet Tuesday in November.
For people who sense there is more to life and crave fulfilment and meaning. Skills and company for lasting wellbeing.
Real wellness isn't a spa weekend, it's a state of being you can carry with you everywhere. Spend three days at Burwell House in Cambridgeshire learning how, with mindfulness, meditation, yoga, Chi Kung and gongs, plain talking and life-changing teaching. No robes, no silence, and definitely not a festival.
The teachers live what they teach, real people with real-world experience, who've changed their lives in ways they never imagined possible.
The point isn’t a lovely glow that fades on the Monday train. It’s learning how to find a quiet, peaceful space in your mind, and rest from your head drama and mind-made suffering. Tools you take home for lasting wellbeing, not just a nice relaxing weekend.
Beginners welcome. Lots of people come on their own. We’ve had builders, beauticians, barristers and bankers. No labels.
And it doesn’t end on Sunday. Free weekly Tune In Tuesday on Zoom, and a community that stays in touch so the practice has somewhere to land. Sixteen years. Thousands helped discover lasting wellbeing.
Rooms from £369. Dorm bed £320. £100 books it.
Go on. Treat yourself.
Have you ever seen a builder meditating? Or a beautician, yoga teacher, barrister, or banker?
This isn’t an exclusive spa break for people with money to burn. We’ve welcomed them all, rich, poor, and everyone in between, from every background, culture and faith. Many who need this most don’t have much money. That’s why dorm bed is £320, with twin and nicer rooms when you want more comfort.
No labels, no boxes. Just real people who feel there’s something more to life… and want to discover it.
Whether you’re brand new to mindfulness or already on the journey, our retreats are for you. Come on your own (lots of people do!). You won’t feel alone for long. We’re a warm, open, non-judgemental bunch, and genuine friendships often form surprisingly quickly.
"Join us for a weekend of fun, laughter and learning and discover a profoundly better way of living"
We won't make you dress in robes or sit facing a wall for hours. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's just not our style. We prefer a modern, plain-talking approach to mindfulness. The teaching is no less profound, but we want to make it accessible, relaxed and fun. It is a holiday after all.
Go on, treat yourself. Everyone deserves a holiday from their head, even you.
